North of Main Street at the eastern end.

The grade and high school in Macedon. There were 2 grade rooms and one high school room in 1900.

On the northeast corner of Main Street across the street from the Hardware store (corner of Main and Erie).

South side of the Erie Canal.

South side of Main Street west from the hardware store, showing buildings of Drill Works, about 1900.

Main Street.

Bridge on Erie St, looking north towards Main St.

Erie St south out of Macedon, bridge over Ganargua Creek

Work on Barge Canal.

Building the Barge Canal.

The First National Bank.

View of canal near Freers Bridge. This photo is facing west, towards Wayneport Rd.

At Erie St, looking west at the north side of Main St.

East end of Bickford St, showing Parker house at the extreme right, now torn down.

The old Universalist church. Later became the town hall. The church and park on the corner were given to the town by Bickford.

Building the Barge Canal. This photo was taken at about just south of the current location of the Macedon Fire Department and Lock 30, facing north/north-east. You can see St. Patrick’s Cemetery at the left (note the evergreens, some of which are still there today, and the gravestones). Quaker Rd and the railroad run across the photo in the background. I believe the bridge in the center of the photo is the Railroad St. bridge (no longer there) over the Barge Canal. This would be just west of the current 350 bridge.

This is the original Hoffman House at the time Dr. Rodenburger lived there. It is now the Bickford Home.

North side of Main St. Notice the cars parked, also the huge black walnut tree on the east corner of Main and Center St.
